Hildebrand McLeod & Nelson LLP, a personal injury law firm with 95 years of experience representing victims of train accidents, is investigating the Amtrak Empire Builder Train Derailment, which occurred on Saturday, September 25, 2021 near Joplin, Montana. The 10-car, 2-locomotive Empire Builder train was traveling between 75 and 78 miles per hour and derailed around 3:55 p.m. on a right curve prior to reaching a switch. Eight of the train’s ten cars left the tracks, injuring 50 and killing at least three people. The NTSB has sent 14 investigators to Montana to investigate the accident.
